In Our Own Voice

Living with Mental Illness

"In Our Own Voice" (IOOV) is a unique public education program developed by NAMI, in which two trained consumer speakers share compelling personal stories about living with mental illness and achieving recovery. It is an opportunity for those who have struggled with mental illness to gain confidence and to share their individual experiences of recovery and transformation.

'In the past, I haven't felt encouraged regarding recovery from mental illness.  Now, I see recovery as a real possibility.' -(From an audience member during one presentation in May)

The "In Our Own Voice" presentations will continue throughout 2011.  Thank you for your attendance.
